Joel Osborn
Seventeen years old, with nine years of experience in wildlife photography and filmmaking.
Awards include:
- 'Wildlife Photographer of the Year 2024' Finalist.
- Exhibitor at 'Future Leap' Wildlife Photography Gallery 2024.
- 'British Wildlife Photography Awards 2023' Runner Up.
- 'SOS Wildlife Photography Awards 2023' International Youth Winner.
- 'Wildlife Photographer of the Year 2021' Finalist.
- 'British Wildlife Photography Awards 2019' Commendation.
- Several other regional photography awards since 2016.
I have had work experience with commercial portrait and product photographers, including a freelance assistant photographer role at both 'Sandstorm Films' and 'Matki'. This has provided me with valuable experience working with highly regarded creative industry professionals, as well as experience working on a high-budget film set.
I also have experience working in wildlife film sound design, during a placement at 'Wounded Buffalo' studios. This has given me an insight into the post-production of bluechip nature documentaries.
Furthermore, I have been working as a semi-professional portrait/event photographer since 2021 - all my recent work can be found on my 'projects' tab.
I'm currently studying Biology, Geography and Maths A levels at Pate's Grammar School, with the intention of studying geography at university before pursuing wildlife film production.
